Patriot Expressions

Erik Carter
Hi, my name is Erik, and I just recently joined Newspaper. I joined because I had a free period at the end of the day, and I wanted to do something fun and interesting. Newspaper caught my eye, and I remembered how Claire Bunn (the editor) asked me the previous school year to join. Even though it has been just a matter of days since I have joined, I do not regret my decision one bit. Newspaper is a thrilling class I hope that will bring me a lot of experience and joy.

There’s not much to talk about when it comes to me. I’m just your average AP class taker who is now a senior this year. I’m in the National Honor Society and in Mu Alpha Theta. At the moment, I’m hoping to get into a school in the state of Washington at a university called Digipen Institute of Technology. I hope to do well in my many AP classes this year, and get everything important, such as a driver’s license (pitiful), completed. On my free time, I read comic books and manga on my phone, play video games on my laptop and gaming devices, and chill out by listening to peaceful instrumental music. I also, of course, try to incorporate sleep as much as I can in my life; there is no telling when ever I am going to be dragged away from it with busy things to do.

Overall, I am excited to be part of the newspaper team, and I hope I can keep up, learn new things, do my best, make memories, and impress everyone on and off the team.
